YOGA UNITES THE MIND & BODY

  • Traditional Yoga

The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Yuj,’ which means ‘to join’ or ‘to unite’. As per the Yogic scriptures, the Yoga practice guides and trains one’s consciousness to unite with the universal consciousness. Traditional Yoga works on the union of mind, body, and soul, creating harmony between all three aspects.

Traditional Yoga is a path of self-transformation that aims to help people discover their true nature, transcend the mind and ego, and become their highest selves. Traditional yoga classes can be challenging.

Traditional Yoga has a holistic approach, It teaches people to live life with mindfulness, awareness, and balance.

  • Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with yogic asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods than in other yoga styles.

While “yang” yoga focuses on your muscles, yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, and joints. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.

  • Somatic Yoga

Somatic yoga is a movement therapy that focuses on internal awareness, sensation, and releasing muscular tension through slow, gentle movements. It's different from traditional yoga, which often emphasizes external alignment and holding poses in a specific series.

Similar to Yin yoga, Somatic yoga can help improve the body-brain connection. Additionally, somatic movements can increase sensory-motor awareness, and release emotions, trauma, tension, and old patterns stored in the body. It can also help with chronic pain, illness, and fatigue.

  • Fertility & Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal yoga is a type of yoga that's adapted for pregnant women to help them prepare for childbirth. It's a low-impact exercise that combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation to balance emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual dimensions.

Prenatal yoga is a multifaceted approach to exercise that encourages stretching, mental centering, and focused breathing.

Fertility yoga is a type of yoga class or poses designed to help people with infertility. It can include poses that focus on the pelvic area and blood circulation.

  • Quantum Yoga

Quantum Yoga is a modern form of yoga that combines ancient Indian healing science with modern quantum physics to help people develop a practice that leads to health, happiness, and enlightenment. It's a dynamic exercise that's designed to meet individual needs, taking into account a person's body-mind constitution and changing circumstances.

Quantum Yoga sequences are tailored to each person's needs and can be designed to ensure they are physiologically safe. The practice also includes a trilogy of sequences for each of the four levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced, and master). Each sequence is designed to regulate one of the three Ayurvedic body-mind constitutions or doshas.

  • Divine Feminine Yoga

Divine feminine yoga is a practice that considers feminine energy to be divine and aims to balance male and female energy, also known as the union of Shiva/Shakti. Some say that integrating a strong physical practice with higher consciousness can be more integrated than either one alone.

The divine feminine is a spiritual concept that represents a feminine counterpart to the patriarchal and masculine worship structures that have dominated organized religions. It can be used as a spiritual lens to balance perspective and extends beyond one belief system. Connecting with the divine feminine can also help people w/ : inner wisdom and strength; navigating life's challenges with greater ease & flow; & more.
